Safia is a food writer, photographer & consultant, and the founder of Another Pantry. She launched the platform in February 2022 after spending the pandemic mostly in her kitchen cooking from cookbooks and recipes shared by chefs & food writers, realising that there wasn’t a place that celebrated or shared recipes and stories from the contemporary British food industry under one roof.

A firm believer in the power of cooking with the seasons for ourselves, for those around us and ultimately for our planet, Safia’s cooking champions the changing flavours and produce of the year, often bringing her her Middle Eastern heritage into her recipes too. Having originally trained as a pastry chef, she spends most of her time on the sweeter side, but loves nothing more than coming home to cook a simple meal at the end of the day, or for friends and her big crazy family at the weekends.

Safia has worked across the UK food industry with restaurants and bakeries such as Pophams, Wild by Tart, Llewelyn’s, The Good Egg, and has had a regular recipe column in Caffeine Magazine since 2017. In 2018, she was nominated for a Young British Foodie Award and named one of Sainsbury’s Magazine’s ‘Ones to Watch’.
