Bell
Maria Bell is a freelance photographer based between the Isle of Wight and London. Her moody, almost chiaroscuro style has a painterly feel, making her photos the kind you want to have on your wall. Maria’s work primarily centres around food, lifestyle, portraiture and the environment with a particular interest in the intersection of nature, sustainability and its effects on wider society; especially within food and farming.
Her commissioned work has been published in The Guardian, The Observer, Kinfolk, Conde Nast Traveller, The Gannet and more. Her commercial assignments have seen her work alongside the country’s top chefs, restaurants and brands including Angela Hartnett, Soho House, Smokestak, Bloom & Wild and Toast as well as on books with leading industry publishers Hardie Grant & Quadrille. She is also Sustainability Editor at award-winning independent magazine, Table, and is currently working on a project centered around The Isle of Wight.
