After studying at university in Bristol, Lily found herself working in brand strategy for 4 years. She had a healthy obsession with cooking at this point and to the despair of her parents, decided to hang up her marketing boots and enrol at Leith’s School of Food & Wine. During her studies, she spent all her spare time gaining experience across different areas of the food industry; from working at the kitchen in Noma, to recipe testing for BBC Good Food.
Lily has now been a plant-based recipe developer and food writer for 5 years, working full time on creating content for deliciously ella, as well as for charity projects including Cook for Syria and Beder’s Kitchen.
Together with food photographer Leo, their recipe project Bitter Lemon aims to bring simple, flavourful vegetarian cooking into your kitchen. They use the same 50 cupboard ingredients as the base for their recipes, so you’ll only need to buy a few fresh ingredients for each one.
